The hike

A steady climb to Mont Charvin, facing Mont Blanc almost the whole way. The trail crosses a summer pasture and its cow barn before a few delicate passages just below the top, where a chain helps you through. From the summit, the view opens up all around. It's stunning.

Getting there

Parking at the start. Large dirt car park at the trailhead, reached by a paved mountain road.
