The hike
Situated in the heart of Alsace, high above the charming wine-growing village of Orschwiller, Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg majestically dominates the plain at an altitude of 755 metres. It's impossible to miss this Alsatian landmark, one of the region's most visited monuments!
It is also the starting and finishing point for numerous hikes. The Haut-Koenigsbourg massif offers a real diversity of trails and remarkable landscapes, and is a real treat for those who love contemplation.
The Haut-Koenigsbourg offers sublime panoramic views... and in fine weather, it's not unusual to catch a glimpse of the Alps!
